9U Place 2nd in the Ozzie Smith CVVX Midwest Madness Tournament

The 9U Team took 2nd place in the Ozzie Smith CVVX Midwest Madness Tournament on May 17. After a storm-shortened game Friday evening that left the team a bit disappointed, they battled back on Saturday for a huge 18-3 win that earned them the chance to play in the championship game. The boys hung tough behind strong pitching and defense, and were only a hit or two away from blowing the game open. Our opponent stuck with their ace who somehow found the gas to keep going, and in the end the 8-6 score was indicative of a hard fought battle between two evenly matched teams.
